Historka jednoho anglána po té co navštívil servis NISSAN:
Booked my 2001 S14a in for its 42,000 service three weeks ago. Told them that the exhaust manifold was cracked, tank heatsheild
cracked, and the brakes were binding.
They serviced it on Monday - managed to identify the Exhaust Manifold and Tank Heatsheild were cracked
Picked the car up
Drove home, with the NEW front discs and pads rumbling - obviously warped discs.
Rung em up and complained - they said no worries, bring it in Tues AM and they'd sort it.
I waited yesterday AM whilst they fannied around with it......
An hour and a half later I get this from the service manager:
"We can't find anything wrong with the brakes - and the noise you're hearing is.... (wait for it)...... AIR IN THE DISCS"
Me: "Do what?"
Them "Yeah, the discs are ventilated and the noise must be the air passing through the discs"
Me: "Say that again - you reckon your mechanics can hear air passing through the vanes in the discs whilst driving along?"
Them: "Yep"
Laugh? I nearly cried!!!
Air passing through the fecking brake discs!!!!!
